LAN HA BAY DAY TOUR FROM HANOI

7.15: Start pick up from the hotel in the Old Quarter then travel to Cat Ba – Lan Ha Bay over Hanoi – Hai Phong 5B new high way and new bridge Tan Vu Lach Huyen to Got harbor – Got ferry station.

10.15: Transferred by ferry to Cat Ba Island.

10.45: Cycle through the imposing mountains and valleys to the National Park.

11.15: Arrive at Hospital cave, start explore the cave known as a secret bomb proof hospital and safe house for the VC leaders was built inside a cave, high up on one of the many limestone karsts which dominate the island.

12.00: Pick up by bus, reach to Beo pier.

12.15: Welcome aboard Cruise, refresh with welcome drink. Start the journey to the sea.

12.30: Enjoy the typical local Lunch will be served with fresh seafood and Vietnamese cuisines while leisurely cruising to the faraway islands of Halong Bay.

14.00: Arrive Dark Cave and Bright Cave, situated on the border of Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay – south side of Halong Bay, this is the best choice for kayaking, swimming through the tunnel or photo hunts, with the all four sides enclosed by vertical cliffs.
- Take your option either exploring the cave on kayak or bamboo boat.
- Jumping off the boat, Enjoy swimming in the crystal water.
15.30: The boat depart for Van Boi area, a small fishing village in the centre of Lan Ha Bay.

Enjoy tea break while the boat cruising through hundreds islands in Lan Ha Bay.

16.15: Disembark in Beo pier, get back to the bus for transfer to Hanoi.

19.30 – 20.00: Arrive to Hanoi and drop off at the hotel in the Old Quarter.

Cat Ba is the largest of the 366 islands spanning 260km2 that comprise the Cat Ba Archipelago, which makes up the southeastern edge of Halong Bay in Northern Vietnam. Cat Ba Island means “Women’s Island” (Cat meaning sandy and Ba meaning women). Legend has it that many centuries ago, three women of the Tran Dynasty were killed and their bodies floated all the way to Cat Ba Island. Each body washed up on a different beach and all three were found by local fishermen. The residents of Cat Ba built a temple for each woman, and the Island soon became known as Cat Ba.

Lan Ha Bay is located in the east of Cat Ba Island, overlooks the Van gate and adjacent to Halong Bay. It is a gulf-shaped bay with approximately 400 large and small islands, creating a huge picture of the heaven scene. Being different from Halong Bay, all of 400 large and small islands in Lan Ha Bay are covered by trees or vegetation, even a tiny island like a peninsula.
